Sweetgrass Braid - 28"



Sweetgrass is used by North American Plains Indians and Canadian Tribes as a cerimonial herb for purification and represents kindness.

The smoke and sweet aroma is passed over people, animals and objects in order to bless them and invite the positive energies to come in.  Sweetgrass is also used in marriage ceremonies.  A braid of sweetgrass is tied into a hoop and the couple holds it as they make their vows.  It is a symbol of coming together in wholeness and says that they are now one in body, mind and Spirit.
